Workaholic?

Achieving the workaholic status is starting to seem quite probable now, as I realize my life is increasingly turning around my work. My family barely sees me. I only use my room to sleep. My friends see me on facebook mostly. I rarely spend a Sunday without going into the office. Saturdays are just like any other weekdays. Its been like that for the past 6 months now.

But when I sit down to think about work, it does not seem like work anymore. It is quite enjoyable and relaxing. I wonder if that’s what happens when one turns into a workaholic – they can’t differentiate between work related stuff and non-work related stuff. I wonder if I’ll manage to meet other workaholics at this rate.

No, Shaan. It is not about workaholic. It seems like you are doing what you really love. And it will last about 3-5 years. Unless something else will distract you.
Congratulations! You are now a happy person.
    ;)
    Take care!

if you think you’re alone, you’re wrong. there are millions of us out there, no line between work and life. work = life = work.

keep that attitude as you will achieve and succeed more when only you love what you are doing. work is an enjoyment, im glad i found another one who thinks and feels like me. :P

    cheers

Glad to hear you are a fellow workaholic Cha. It’s rare to find a workaholic who is not boring :)

You seem very comfortable with your work, it is very enviable, it doesnt happen to many people. I think “workaholic” terms people who are overworked, stressed out and unhappy. It isn’t at all your case. Maybe people are missing you in the social platform, but your work cannot be a cause of concern to your loved ones. I think the right word would be “hardworker”. Thumbs up

you dont call yourself a workaholic if you’re enjoying your work. honestly speaking, we’re the lucky ones dont you think so? we have a job that we love even til we cant define them as work anymore.

i work 10-7. after 7, i cant wait to pack my bag to go off, so i can catch the earliest transport to go back home, take a shower, settle down, and start my work again while eating my dinner. its the enthusiasm and the wants to get things moving, so we can see good results faster than anyone else.

keep it up. just when you are down and think work is plainly just work, think that you’re not alone. we will get there together :)

Its good that you’ve found something to go crazy about!
I am sure you are not far to success cuz successful ppl are those who pay full attention on sth!

Lucky you! found your way! :)
    enjoy you life, man!

Thanks for the comment Richa. Workaholic is not the the appropriate connotation in my case. You’re right. Its true that I feel very comfortable with my work and more than working hard, it is about finding personal satisfaction and achieving something. The hardest part is sustaining this desire through time.
